Description

The i.am.angel Foundation, created by Will.I.AM, established a scholarship program to assist students from Roosevelt High School in Los Angeles who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

Criteria / Requirements:
• Attend(ed) Roosevelt High School’s Math, Science, Technology Magnet Academy
• completed the 11th grade research project using GIS
• Distinguished themselves through their interest in using GIS, as evidenced by some of the following:
• strong use of GIS in school or out-of-school
• participation in presentations about use of GIS outside of school, such as at conferences, meetings, workshops, or other prominent events
• support of RHS/MSTMA or other area educators in teaching adults and students about GIS and its use
• Be high school seniors, undergraduates, or a student currently enrolled or planning to enroll in full time undergraduate study at an accredited two year or four year college, university or vocational-technical school
