Description

This will be awarded to a woman in graduate study during the next academic year. The scholarship is open to women who are citizens of the United States and residents of the State of California. All areas of study are accepted, but consideration will be given to the candidate’s potential contribution to society. Preference will be given to young women completing their graduate education rather than to those making career changes.

Criteria / Requirements:
Applicants must have received a bachelor’s degree prior to fall of the award year, be enrolling in or currently enrolled in a graduate degree (master’s or doctorate) program at an accredited institution of higher education in Los Angeles County, demonstrate financial need, have performed services for her community, and filed completed application materials, including official college transcripts of all upper division and graduate level work, and three letters of recommendation.
